Vestas wins 79MW Swedish deal

SWEDEN: Vestas has been handed the deal to supply 24 3.3MW turbines to Fred Olsen Renewables for the Fabodliden project in Sweden.

Fabodliden will use 24 Vestas V112-3.3MW turbines

Vestas will deliver and install the V112-3.3MW turbines to the project in Vasterbotten, northern Sweden. Delivery will take place in the third quarter of next year.

The turbines' blades will be fitted with Vestas' de-icing solution and will include a three-year servicing contract.

Fabodliden is due to come online by the end of 2015. Fred Olsen currently has four projects under development in Sweden.

Earlier today, Vestas was also chosen by Swedish developer Eolus to provide seven V126-3.3MW turbines to the Froreda wind project in southeast Sweden.
