Technip Offshore Wind, based in Aberdeen, Scotland will be closed down following minimum 45-day consultaion period with affected staff.
About 200 staff, including contractors will be affected by the decision.
"Following this review, the group is proposing that its business unit, Technip Offshore Wind, based in the UK, will close following the completion of all projects," a spokesperson for the company said.
"This follows a detailed examination of all viable options," the company added.
Technip was involved in the 100MW near Aberdeen with Vattenfall and the Aberdeen Renewable Energy Group (AREG) as a development consortium partner.
A spokesperson from the EOWDC said Technip had helped the project in gaining all necessary consents and now Vattenfall and AREG will move the it forward, without Technip's involvement.
The firm was working with Japanese-firm Marubeni to work on the , being developed by Mainstream Renewables, and the consortium with Marubeni was also listed as one of nine to work on the 1GW Inch Cape offshore project.
