The company has now handed the developer the final UXO clearance certificates for the 576MW project off the north-west English coast in the Irish Sea.
Cabling work was delayed slightly in February after the discovery of unexploded munitions at the site. Three World-War-II bombs were destroyed in a controlled explosion.
Most of the turbines at Gwynt y Mor are already operating as RWE finishes the last of the array cabling work. In August, the developer said that four fifths of the array cables were in place, with the remainder due to be installed imminently.
Risk management firm 6 Alpha has also signed a long-term framework contract to provide UXO clearance with grid operator Tennet, which is esponsible for connecting all German offshore wind projects to the electricity network.
