Intergen agreed the deal with developer Infraestructura Energética Nova (IEnova) for the $300 million (EUR 218 million) project, located in the state of Baja California in Mexico.
The project will use 47 V112-3.3MW Vestas turbines when it comes online in the first half of 2015.
US-based utility company San Diego Gas & Electric has already signed a 20-year power purchase agreement with the project. It the first cross-border wind project to be agreed between Mexico and the US.
IEnova's CEO, Carlos Ruiz Sacristán, said Intergen's involvement would provide experience in Mexican electricity generation projects and complete the company's original plan to include a strategic partner.
Financial terms of the agreement have not been revealed and it is subject to regulatory approval in both countries.
