Vestas wins 72MW community deal in Germany

GERMANY: Vestas has been handed a 72.6MW deal from BWP Eider for a community wind project in northern Germany.

The project will use V112 turbines

The unconditional contract is for 22 V112 3.3MW turbines to go to the Bürgerwindpark Eider project in Schleswig-Holstein. This also includes a 15-year service agreement.

The turbines are expected to be delivered and installed by Q4.

According to the developers, project financing of EUR 30 million has been secured from more than 700 investors. Consenting submissions were put forward in late January.
