The Swedish energy company is developing the Blaiken wind farm in the north of the country, which will be fitted with 30 Dongfang 2.5MW turbines.
In 2011, Nordex was awarded the contract to supply turbines with a capacity of 150MW for the first phase of the 250MW project.
An integrated de-icing system means that the Dongfang turbines are seen by the developer as being well suited to the cold-weather site.
This will not be the first time that Chinese wind turbines have been installed in Sweden. Two Sinovel 3MW turbines came into service on a wind farm in central Sweden in 2012.
Indeed, Dongfang has previously moved into the Scandinavian market, winning an order in Finland. Last year, the Chinese manufacturer was handed a contract installed three 1.5MW turbines in the country.
