Alstom chosen for 24MW Dutch project

NETHERLANDS: Alstom has won a contract for the installation of turbines with a total capacity of 24MW on a project in the Netherlands.

The project will use the ECO 110 turbine

The Hartelkanaal wind farm near Rotterdam, which is being built by Investment Engineering, will use Alstom's medium-wind ECO 110 3MW turbine.

As well as the installation of the turbines, Alstom will be responsible for operations and maintenance services at the development for 15 years following commissioning.

The ECO 110 was launched in 2012 as a development on the ECO 100, designed to meet the growing demand for turbines able to operate in lower-wind sites.

This is the first time that Alstom has worked with Dutch renewable energy developers Investment Engineering.
