The result reinforces the company's decision to build a new tower production facility in north-eastern Bahia state, where many of its clients will be building wind farms, said Wobben commercial director Eduardo Lopes.
"We maintained our clients and added some new ones", said Lopes, declining to give details as some contracts are still being finalised.
Brazilian power distributors bought a total of 2.3GW of wind power at the 13 December A-5 auction. This comes on top of some 900MW sold in the A-3 auction held in November and 1.5GW at the reserve auction held in August.
Although no deals were made in November, Wobben reportedly signed off about 150MW in turbines in August. The main clients were Enerfin (a susidiary of Spain's Elecnor) in southern Brazil and Brazilian developer Brennand in partnership with state power company Chesf.
