Final public consultation sessions launched for Navitus Bay

Developers of the 1.1GW Navitus Bay offshore wind farm off England's south coast are holding a series of informal public drop-in sessions this month.

Eneco and EDF, joint 50:50 developers of Navitus Bay, are running eight three-hour sessions from 21 – 24 January in various venues across Dorset and Hampshire.

The sessions will allow members of the public the chance to meet the project team and learn more about the following stages of the development.

If granted planning permission, Navitus Bay wind farm will be located 13 kilometres off the Dorset and Hampshire coasts, to the west of the Isle of Wight.

A planning application will be submitted in early 2014, and the Secretary of State is due to make a decision in 2015.

The sessions are part of the developers' consultation process, which has been ongoing since 2010.
