The Hale Community Energy project will be made up of Hale County Wind Farm, LLC, CottonWind Farms, Lakeview Wind Farms, and East Mound Renewable Energy Project.
The company intends to install between 500 and 650 turbines, to be developed in five phases of construction.
Tri-Global said it expects the first 200MW phase to be operational in late 2015, and for the entire project to be online by mid 2018.
It will stretch over nearly 500 square kilometres, owned by more than 340 landowners. The project is partly community owned and has more than 450 shareholders.
