The Taltal plant, in the region of Antofagasta, will use 33 V112 3MW turbines. The project, which is EGP's biggest wind farm in Chile is, will cost approximately $190 million.
The contract comprises supply, installation and commissioning of the turbines and a two-year service agreement.
Vestas’ deal is part of the 400MW global supply agreement with EGP disclosed to the market in September 2010.
Juan Araluce, Vestas chief sales officer, said: "The order for the Taltal project in Chile is the second one we have signed with EGP within a few months as part of our global supply agreement signed in 2010.
"We have been witnessing steady growth and momentum in investments in clean wind energy resources in emerging wind markets."
EGP is exploring several concessions in Chile for a potential capacity exceeding 100MW.
Enel CEO Fulvio Conti said: "Taltal is the third wind farm we are building in Chile and certainly not the last.
"We are rapidly growing in this country and in several other Latin American countries across all segments of the energy sector."
The energy generated by the new wind farm will be delivered to the Chilean central region transmission network.
