OutSmart announces German offshore O&M centre

Dutch firm will support Borkum West II

OutSmart has announced it will build an operations and maintenance (O&M) base at Emden, Germany, from which it will serve the O&M needs of offshore wind stations in Germany waters.

The first client to be served from the new facility will be Trianel, whose Borkum West 2 Phase 1 project should become operational next year.

Construction of OutSmart’s O&M facility at Emden begins this summer. Commenting, OutSmart Asset Management managing director, Dennis Schiricke, said: "Our dedicated team and our IT systems enable us to coordinate different wind farms with different control systems at the same time".
