The French government’s plan to unveil a second offshore wind tender this year looks increasingly unlikely, according to Nicholas Wolff, president of wind energy trade body, French Energie Eolienne.
Speaking with “uåX˜äŠÊ˜·³Ç Offshore, Wolff said the timing of the tender now favours the first months of 2013. If this prediction proves accurate, it will be almost impossible for France to achieve its aim of installing 6GW of offshore capacity by 2020.
The second tender was originally scheduled for this past April, but was delayed until the autumn.
