Chinese state-owned energy company Sinohydro Corporation had announced that foundation work for the first three wind turbines at the Rudong 100MW demonstration intertidal project has been completed.
Located in east China’s Jiangsu province, the project covers a 16.1km2 area to the west of Xiaoyangkou Port, Rudong county.
It will be developed in two phases: the first will use ten CSIC (Chongqing) Haizhuang H102-2000 2.0MW turbines. Turbines for the remaining 80MW will be chosen through a public tender.
