Gardline wins surveys contract at Humber Gateway

219MW project due for 2015 completion

E.ON has contracted Gardline to undertake construction phase environmental surveys at Humber Gateway. The 219MW project is under development 8km off the East Yorkshire coast. It is due for completion in 2015.

Gardline will conduct seabird surveys, marine mammal mitigation work, subsea noise monitoring, herring spawning monitoring and suspended sediment monitoring. It will provide seabird surveyors, marine mammal observers, passive acoustic monitoring operators, scientists and associated equipment.

The herring survey and airborne noise monitoring has been subcontracted to university and acoustic consultants. The work should be completed by March 2015.
