Asked about offshore cost of energy, Kjaersgaard said there was "no silver bullet" to reduce this. Instead, the solution lies in smaller initiatives such as working on infrastructure and foundations as well as the turbines themselves.
Unsurpringly, Kjaersgaard said consolidation was good for the industry and that smaller players would find it harder to compete. He cited his own personal experience at Bonus Energy, which was acquired by Siemens in 2005.
