The winning bidder will be required to dismantle the existing 84 Vestas 660kW turbines, operating since 2000, and supply, install and maintain the replacement machines. Bids must be in by 27 July.
Theolia bought the facility near Tangier from French utility EDF and Cabinet Germa, which developed and built the project, in 2008.
Last May, it signed a partnership agreement with ONE to repower the plant and to build an extension of 200MW on an adjacent site. of this second phase in January, as part of a larger call for 850MW of wind power.
Morocco is targeting 2GW of wind capacity by 2020, up from 292MW turning today.
