RP Global plans 46MW Polish project

POLAND: Polish renewable energy company RP Global has launched a tender to build a 46MW wind farm in Kukinia, Poland.

The project is estimated to be worth about PLN 227.3 million (€54.1 million), and bids are to be submitted by 19 March, 2012.

Construction of the facility is to be completed in the second quarter of 2013 at the latest, according to the company. The new wind farm will be fitted with 23 Enercon E-82 2MW wind turbines.

The Kukinia project has secured a PLN 22.4 million (€5.33 million) grant from the European Union Cohesion Fund.

RP Global also operates a 4MW wind farm in Stramnica, Poland. According to the latest “uåX˜äŠÊ˜·³Ç Windicator, Poland has a wind capacity of 1,352MW.
