EnXco wins 99MW Iowa servicing deal

UNITED STATES: EnXco has been handed a service agreement from the Wisconsin Public Service Corporation (WPS) for a 99MW project in Iowa.

GE's 1.5MW turbine

The Cane Creek Wind Farm, which is located in Howard County, comprises 66 GE 1.5MW turbines. EnXco built the project in 2009.

In addition to turbine servicing, the company will provide remote monitoring services. EnXco services around 5GW of turbines in North America, many of them GE's 1.5MW machine.

Speaking about the deal, director of business development Dave Luck said: "The renewal of this contract demonstrates WPS's confidence in our extensive experience to optimise project availability and reduce costs."

In December, MidAmerican Energy appointed EnXco to provide operations and maintenance services for four projects with a total capacity of 477MW.
