GE signs 350MW US deal

UNITED STATES: GE has signed a supply deal with Wind Capital Group to provide 350MW for wind farms in Kansas and Oklahoma.

The order includes 134 of GE's 1.5MW turbines
The deal will see GE supply a mix of 1.5-82.5 and 1.6-100 wind turbines by the first half of 2012.

94 1.6MW and 134 1.5MWs turbines will be going to the Osage development in Oklahoma and the Post Rock project in Kansas respectively.

Power-purchase agreements are in place for Westar (Post Rock) and Osage Associated Electric (Post Rock).

The projects will bring Wind Capital’s capacity to around 500MW.
