GE wins its first wind contract in Estonia

ESTONIA: GE has been handed a contract to supply 45MW to a project in Paldiski, on the north-western tip of the Estonia.

The deal, which is a first for GE in Estonia, will see 18 2.5 100 turbines installed on the project. Delivery and commissioning is set for 2012.

The contract includes a ten-year service agreement.

Last week, GE received an order to build the first project in Vietnam’s Mekong Delta. Phase one of the Bac Lieu wind farm will have a generating capacity of 16MW, but GE said a larger second phase could add a further 120MW.
