Vestas signs 180MW Swedish framework

SWEDEN: Vestas today confirmed it has signed a framework agreement with Swedish developer Eolus Vind to supply turbines for projects totalling 180MW in capacity.

Vestas V90 wind turbines will be used to supply part of the 180MW project

The agreement, which replaces one signed between the two firms in April 2010, covers the supply of Vestas' V90, V100 and V112 turbine models over a period of three years.

It also provides Eolus an option to acquire additional wind turbines with a capacity of 40MW during this period.

Today's announcement follows confirmation by Vestas on Friday that it had signed a deal to supply 60MW of turbines to two projects in Brazil. The deal, with developer Atlantic Energias Renovaveis, covers the supply, installation and commissioning of 30 V100-2.0 MW turbines.

This was hot on the heels of Vestas and EDF announcing a 2GW partnership covering projects across Europe and the US.
