Vestas adds to North American and Indian teams

WORLDWIDE: Vestas has made a series of appointments in its North American and Indian offices.

Vestas India has appointed as executive chairman Rajiv Wahi, who previously spearheaded Cadbury Schweppes Asia-Pacific operations as its president.

The company has also appointed a new vice president sales. Amit Kansal previously headed Vestas’ marketing and customer insight division for Asia-Pacific.

In North America, former director of business excellence and Lean Six Sigma deployment leader at Philips Healthcare David Gels has joined as vice president of quality and process excellence.

Also, Ramon Mendoza returns to Vestas as warranty management chief specialist from an 11-month position as vice-president of field operations for solar company Stirling Energy Systems. He joined Vestas in 1995.

Vice chair of the Ontario chamber of commerce David Sword, joins as government relations director for Canada.
