Northland to develop 60MW project on Canadian tribal land

CANADA: Tribal corporation Mnidoo Mnising Power and energy company Northland Powerhave signed a partnership to develop a 60MW project in Ontario, Canada.

The McLean’s Mountain wind farm project is on Manitoulin Island in Lake Huron. Mnidoo Mnising and Northland have signed a 50/50 partnership to develop the project.

Mnidoo Mnising was formed by tribal council the United Chiefs and Councils of Mnidoo Mnising First Nations, based on Manitoulin Island.
