The deal is for 50 V100 1.8MW turbines to go to the Michigan Wind II project, which is located near Minden City. It includes a 10-year service agreement.
The project is set to be completed and online by the end of 2011.
Vestas V100 is designed for low wind sites. The 100 metre rotor diameter is designed to enable high output from low wind speeds
This is the second US order for the V100. Earlier this month, Vestas announced Utah Municipal Power Systems had ordered 32 of the turbines for the Horse Butte Wind Project in Idaho.
