Repower wins 74.8MW German deal

GERMANY: Repower has won a contract from developer Denker & Wulf AG, to supply 74.8MW for a project planned for Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Germany.

Repower has sold 22 of its 3.4M104 units

The Hohen Luckow project located southwest of Rostock will use 22 Repower 3.4M104 turbines with an individual capacity of 3.4MW. The project is set to be completed in 2012 and includes a 15-year service agreement.

The deal follows Repower's announcement that it is launching a subsidiary, Repower Systems, to offer project management, sales and servicing of onshore turbines to its core Austrian and German markets.

Speaking about the move, Repower CEO Andreas Nauen said: "The roots of Repower are in Germany and of course, our still promising home market is particularly important for us. With Repower Systems, we intend to reinforce our position in Germany and Austria on a long term basis."
