The company is launching a facility to produce aluminium ladders at its North American headquarters in New Berlin, Wisconsin.
The factory, near Milwaukee, will produce ladder sections of up to six metres in length.
Denmark-based Avanti says supplying US wind farms with domestically produced ladders will lead to major savings in transport costs.
Shorter transport times will reduce the amount of damage that the ladders incur during transit, Avanti says.
The company’s other ladder factories are in China and Germany.
Its US operations include technicians stationed in Texas, West Virginia and Oklahoma.
The Wisconsin factory opens as the state takes steps to align local permitting rules.
