In a separate move, South Africa's Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) has agreed to take an equity stake in the project. Though the final ownership structure is to be confirmed, the likely split will be 51% to London-based Aldwych International and 19% to IDC, with 30% resting with the original owner, Dutch developer-operator KP&P. The first 50MW could be feeding into Kenya's grid by June next year.
