German wind turbine manufacturer Repower of Germany has signed up the newcomer to the wind business to provide steel tubular towers to many of its future developments across the UK.
Mabey Bridge, which is a specialist supplier of modular bridging and heavy plated steelwork, aims to be the biggest UK manufacturer of towers for onshore and offshore turbines.
It has purchased an industrial unit at Chepstow, south Wales, and lodged an application for consent to double the size of the factory.
