Wind wire: Construction completed

Italian utility Sorgenia says it has completed construction of its 39 MW San Gregorio Magno wind farm in the southern region of Campania.

The wind farm, which comprises Siemens 2.3 MW turbines, is expected to become operative by September. Meanwhile, Enel Green Power has expanded its Sedini wind farm on the island of Sardinia by 10.5 MW, bringing total capacity of the Sedini facility to 64.5 MW. The wind farm is located in Littigheddu in the province of Sassari and is composed of 43 GE Energy 1.5 MW turbines.
