The huge Shepherds Flat wind farm proposal for a 909 MW wind farm of up to 303 turbines in Oregon's Columbia River Gorge received unanimous site approval late last month from state officials. The project, planned for Gilliam and Morrow counties, has been touted as the world's largest by its privately held developer, Caithness Energy of New York.
