Generventos do Pinhal Interior and Energias Renováveis, part of the Generg Group, plan to add eight 2 MW Vestas turbines to the 15 units already operating at their Proença-a-Nova wind farm. The 16 MW addition will bring the project's total installed capacity to 46 MW. Currently subject to public consultation, once the EUR 16 million plan is approved, construction will take six months. Proença-a-Nova is part of the EUR 150 million Pinhal Interior development which, when completed by the end of the year, will comprise 65 Vestas wind turbines totalling 148 MW.
