The full title of the report into the future development of wind energy in France, cited in our story, Serious Fears That French Market Will Fail (“uåX˜äŠÊ˜·³Ç, July 2004), is Donner un Nouveau Souffle à l'Éolien Terrestre. The report was released at a wind energy conference in Paris on June 9. It was commissioned from the Paris office of the Boston Consulting Group, an American strategy and management firm, by members of the wind industry and research institutions in France, with the support of the French Renewable Energies Syndicate (SER) and energy agency ADEME. Specific backers of the report are: Siif, Vestas, Ostwind, GE, Repower, Eole-RES, Shell WindEnergy, Ventura, Gamesa, Aérowatt and Vergnet.
