Accessibility problems not confined to offshore turbines -- delegates suffer too

If accessibility is one of offshore wind's biggest concerns, it was also an issue for OWEMES delegates. Not only was the conference hall an hour's walk and ride by bus or packed train during rush hour, the accompanying exhibition was strung out through a series of long hallways, with some exhibitors even in another building across the street. Exhibitors, the usual mix of major wind turbine manufacturers, suppliers and contractors, were not unhappy. Most of them had a steady stream of visitors -- their Italian customers, whom they had specifically invited.
