Karnataka assesses 200 MW potential
The Karnataka Power Corporation Limited (KPCL) has assessed a potential for wind power of 200 MW in the state, with 100 MW identified at eight locations, reported KPCL engineer K.S Srinath at a wind symposium in Tamil Nadu in late November. To help smaller developers, he announced that KPCL was encouraging the development of wind farm estates along the lines of those already successfully functioning in Madhya Pradesh.
