New renewable research centre established in Perth
A grant of A$5.5 million from the Australian Greenhouse Office has helped to establish a new renewable energy centre -- the Research Institute for Sustainable Energy (RISE) in Perth, Western Australia. RISE is a joint venture between Murdoch and Curtin Universities and a number of industry partners. A key feature is the Renewable Energy Systems Test Centre which will support development of standards, equipment testing, professional training, demonstration and resource assessment.
