UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT
British Carter Wind Turbines is under new management having been bought out by a businessman from southern India. V.N.A.S. Chandran from Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu bought the company from Tony Marmont at the end of 1994 and renamed it Carter Technology. At present there are no plans to move the company from the UK. According to new managing director, Steve Clamp, Carter Technology is soon to move to new headquarters, not far from its present Derby location, where it intends to start manufacturing its 300 kW and 25 kW machines. "We have potential orders for a large number of machines around the world for this year and over the next five to six years," he claims.
