Flowind repowering plan approved
A plan for the repowering of FloWind Corp's California wind farms was approved by a US bankruptcy court on June 2. The joint reorganisation plan was submitted to the court, in Santa Rosa, California, by FloWind and WindCo LLC, a group put together for the repowering (“uåX˜äŠÊ˜·³Ç, June 1998). A hearing to confirm the plan had been held just a few days earlier, also in front of Judge Alan Jaroslovsky. WindCo LLC is backed by some familiar faces, including ESI Energy, part of the US energy giant FPL Group, and Danish manufacturer NEG Micon. FloWind sought bankruptcy protection 13 months ago.
