New on line renewables information site
A new web site of information on renewable energy -- the European Renewable Energy Exchange (EuroREX) -- has been created as a spin off product of The European Renewable Energy Study, or TERES. EuroREX is the brainchild of a British company, Energy for Sustainable Development Limited (ESD), which produced TERES for the European Commission. The small company is based near Corsham in Wiltshire. EuroREX went on line on May 7 and is described by ESD as a "cutting edge Internet based intelligence service for the renewable energy industry." The site draws its information from a "network of energy experts from over 30 European countries" and offers an information service at three levels: general information (public access); a fortnightly electronic newsletter (subscriber); and a commercial service directed solely at the renewables industry. The EuroREX network was set up by a seed grant under the EC's Joule/Thermie program. Its members include energy companies, universities, trade associations and industrial groups. EuroREX is linked to “uåX˜äŠÊ˜·³Ç's web site at www.wpm.co.nz.
