Extension for 200 MW Gujarat bids
Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation extended the deadline for bids to develop a 200 MW wind project for the third time last month, even though in late December the firm's managing director, J Pandian, publicly said it had received ten bids. The indication is that bids are not to the corporation's satisfaction as yet. Under the terms of the request for proposals, the winning developer must select the site for the project, secure all necessary planning clearances, source and install the turbines, commission the plant and operate and maintain it for ten years. The project must be commissioned within six months of the date of the award of the final contract, according to Pandian.
