Supplier picked for Eole-RES 66 MW wind farm project
Eole-RES, the French subsidiary of Britain's Renewable Energy Systems, has contracted Vestas to supply 33 of its V90 2 MW turbines for two projects in northeast France. Fifteen machines will be installed at Lomont in the Doubs département and 18 at Trois Sources in the Meuse starting in the spring. In each case the turbines will be divided into three groups to comply with the 12 MW cap for guaranteed premium purchase prices. Meantime, Eole-RES soon expects to commission 23 Siemens 1.3 MW turbines at Haut-Languedoc and six Vestas 2 MW machines at Cuxac-Cabardès, both in Languedoc-Roussillon. The company also started work on an 11.7 MW extension to the Haut-Languedoc project, using Siemens turbines, for commissioning late 2007.
