China's Harbin Hafei Mechanical & Electrical Products Manufacturing Company has signed a letter of intent with Finnish wind turbine maker WinWind for the establishment of a turbine production and sales joint venture some time this year. WinWind says it also hopes to increase its marketing and distribution channels in China and plans to bid for future supply contracts on offer by state authorities and private companies. WinWind says it is doing business in France, Spain and Portugal as well as in Finland.
