Gamesa clinches near 350 MW order with leading developer
Spain's Gamesa has signed a EUR 200 million agreement to supply turbines totalling 344 MW to China Longyuan Electric Power Group Corporation, the leading wind developer in China. The 405 850 kW turbines will be manufactured at Gamesa's facility in Tianjin, which has now started full production. They will be installed at seven wind farms being developed by Longyuan, with delivery due to start in 2009. The deal, which includes turbine supply (without towers), supervision of assembly and start up, and a two-year operation and maintenance agreement, brings Gamesa's committed pipeline of projects in China to just under 1500 MW. The Tianjin facility, with an annual capacity for 700 MW, is Gamesa's fourth production centre in China.
