A third wind turbine is to be installed at the northern end of Tokyo bay area at Wakasu Kaihin Park by Tokyo's Koto Ward. Officials say it will be a 2 MW turbine operational by April, but no supplier has been selected. The electricity will be sold to Tokyo Electric Power Co, which is granting ´40 million to Koto Ward for the project. The construction costs will be covered by the Tokyo metropolitan government -- an exchange for being allowed to build a waste-disposal plant in Koto Ward.
