Motorway landmark: The 170,000 motorists who use Britain's busiest highway, the London orbital motorway known as the M25, will find it hard to miss the 50 metre 225 kW Vestas turbine installed by Renewable Energy Systems (RES) at the site of its new head office, near Kings Langley in Hertfordshire to the north of London, at the end of September. "It is a great advertisement for wind power," says RES's Ian Mays. He adds that it will "demonstrate that wind turbines work in harmony with all aspects of the landscape."
