Oil and gas corporation buys wind power for meeting electricity needs

Wind farms will supply all auxiliary power for India's Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), the government owned company says. "Our plan is to set up one or two wind farms in Gujarat to generate electricity for our internal use," says ONGC's Subir Raha. The capacity of the wind farms is yet to be determined, he adds, noting a feasibility report is currently being prepared.
