David Lindley, past president of the European Wind Energy Association, was awarded the OBE (Order of the British Empire) in the government's new year's honours list for his services to renewable energy and the wind turbine industry. Lindley is a former managing director of National Wind Power and before that of the Wind Energy Group. Now working as a consultant, he adds his latest trophy to a growing list of titles and awards including three visiting professorships.
