A group of non government organisations, government agencies and private sector companies have got together in Sri Lanka to form the Energy Forum. The group plans to work with the government of Sri Lanka to define energy policies and provide information on renewables. In Sri Lanka, a 3 MW wind farm project proposed for Bundala in the south, funded by the World Bank, is attracting the wrath of the Environmental Foundation and Wildlife Society. They claim the chosen site is a haven for nesting birds.
