Vestas turbines have been chosen by Powergen Renewables for its offshore wind farm at Scroby Sands, three kilometres east of Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, off the coast of eastern England. The 30 machines will be made by Vestas Celtic Wind Technology in Scotland. Vestas Celtic will also carry out all offshore work for the £75 million project. Powergen expects work to begin on the wind farm this autumn.
