Wind developer Umweltkontor plans to install 50 wind monitoring stations, mainly in the Mediterranean region, within the next 12 months. These will add to the company's existing fleet of 14 measuring masts in Greece, Croatia, Sardinia and Turkey. "We will then have one of the most densely installed, privately operated wind measuring networks in Europe," says Umweltkontor's Thomas Littmann. The company is now marketing its wind measuring and data evaluation experience.
